iPad 2 madness in Malaysia (Mid Valley Megamall)

In Britain, thousands waited and lined up to see the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. In Malaysia, thousands waited and lined up to 'wed' Apple's latest iteration of the iPad.




On sale since Friday (29th April 2011), the iPad 2 drew an impressive crowd of buyers at the Mid Valley Megamall's outlet of Machines. On Friday, buyers were so numerous that the queue stretched across an entire ring/section of the mall's Centre Court. And this was at about 11.20am in the morning. (Not-so-random thought: Don't these people have to work?)

One more thing: If you're planning to get one, don't go to the Gardens outlet of Machines. As of Friday, 29th April 2011, that outlet doesn't have stock for the iPad 2. Head to the Mid Valley outlet of Machines instead. Don't walk to the Gardens outlet only to be disappointed.
